Mental Health Therapy for Families

Our mental health is connected to every aspect of our lives. There is an interconnectedness between being a spouse, parent, sibling, and son or daughter that is undeniable. When working well, these relationships create a beautiful harmony.

However, when one part of that harmony is off, it affects the whole self. That’s what makes me different than most counselors. I’ll apply my knowledge to helping your family, and your children, navigate your relationship dynamic in the context of your whole selves.

My Approach for Family Therapy

In 2021 I became a Certified Family Base Therapist (CFBT) which entailed competency process in the modality of Eco Systemic Structural Family Therapy. My years of experience has confirmed to me the importance of viewing that the greatest area of need, and the greatest source of healing, to be the space in-between: the relationship.

I view the relationship as the true client. Only with this foundation can I stay focused on serving all members of the family. In this work I will guide families through exploring interactional patterns that do not work well. Only after that work is complete can I partner with families in pursuing healthy and functional patterns for connection.
