How do I know if therapy is right for me?

In therapy, we talk about anything that’s on your mind. My goal is to walk alongside you and help you discover the challenges your experiencing. But, you do not need to prepare questions or answers to specific questions.

Ultimately, therapy is about what matters to you, and your therapist is there to listen, support, and help you navigate whatever you’re dealing with. If you are ready to share your mind and heart, you’re ready for therapy.

Is therapy confidential?

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of mental health therapy, governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). When you attend therapy sessions, what you share with me stays between you and me. I cannot and will not disclose any information about your therapy without your explicit consent.

Please know, therapists are required by law to break confidentiality if I believe there is a risk of harm to you or others, or if there is suspicion of abuse or neglect of a vulnerable person. This would include children or an elderly individual.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can be beneficial if you’re dealing with persistent sadness, anxiety, stress, or significant life changes. It provides support for unresolved trauma, self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, and personal growth.

Secondly, the reason I have a free introductory consultation is to give you the opportunity to answer this question alongside me. You’ll get to hear my voice, share an overview of your challenges, and decide if further therapy is right for you. This will also give you the change to decide if I’m the right therapist for you!

What is the cost of therapy?

Each session is $120.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, I am not working with insurance companies. The primary reason being that I appreciate the freedom of my clients and I being able to select frequency and duration of treatment without it being mandated or influenced by an insurance provider.
